Personally, I would have preferred a room with a different view. But hey, it's just my opinion, and I know others might find enjoyment in the garden view.

Beautiful location, great access to the moor and Granite Way. Staff were amazing and breakfast had a stunning view. Dinner at Good Shed was delicious. Car essential due to remote location.

the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. the facilities were clean, except for the kitchen which could use better plate draining racks. the requirement to dry dishes with heavily used tea towels seemed unhygienic. the location was perfect for me as it provided easy access to the moor and the Granite Way. the highlight was the amazing breakfast with a breathtaking view. the small single rooms provided the privacy I needed and allowed me to escape from my friends' snoring!
Nothing, all great! 😊.

Liked the location at the heart of the Dartmoor, perfect to enjoy walks and hikes. The natural surroundings are beautiful and the atmosphere is very calm. We also enjoyed the clean and cosy rooms with comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. the staff was polite and always willing to assist.
Disliked the lack of proper maintenance in the bathrooms, which had a strong smell of dampness and faulty showers that leaked water. Another downside was the noise level, as we had trouble sleeping due to noisy guests in the corridors.

Lovely setting in the midst of nature, perfect for our romantic escape. Splendid views all around with peaceful surroundings and marvelous walks to explore. the staff was welcoming and attentive, answering all our queries with a smile.
Regrettably, the room had a damp smell, a leaking shower, and a malfunctioning lock that broke our good night's rest. Even though it was refurbished, it was cramped, with limited space for our belongings, adding to the feeling of discomfort.

We had a wonderful stay at a small, quiet YHA near Dartmoor. The single rooms provided the perfect amount of privacy, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. Despite a few drawbacks such as limited bathrooms and a falling lock on the door, the friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. The cleanliness of the property, except for the kitchen, was satisfactory. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in the beautiful Dartmoor area.
